Where we started
A supplier you could actually verify.
Nicotine River began in 2014 with a premise that was rarer than it should have been: that a manufacturer buying nicotine ought to be able to verify it. Not take a supplier's word for it — verify it, with a certificate of analysis for the exact lot in the drum, from a facility with an address.
So we built the facility — first in Simi Valley, and since 2018 in a larger building in Thousand Oaks. Blending, filling and testing happen there under one roof, and the laboratory that releases each batch sits beside the line that fills it. When the FDA's deeming rule arrived in 2016, our products were already on the market, and the records we had been keeping became the foundation of our Tobacco Product Master Files.
The range grew from there — freebase and salt nicotine, then tobacco-free synthetic (S)-nicotine under the SyNic name, nicotine powders for pouches and lozenges, and Nixodine-S, our (S)-6-methylnicotine line. The standard did not change: one specification, assayed in-house, for every form we make.

Founded in Simi Valley
Nicotine River begins supplying USP grade nicotine to manufacturers from Simi Valley, California.
-
2016
Ahead of the deeming rule
The FDA's deeming rule takes effect on August 8. Our products are already on the market, and the records behind them become our Tobacco Product Master Files.

Moved to Thousand Oaks
Growing demand takes us out of Simi Valley and into our building in Thousand Oaks, where blending, filling, testing and storage sit under one roof.
-
2023
Laboratory accredited
Our in-house laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for chemical testing: nicotine assay by HPLC and GC, pH and specific gravity.
-
2024
cGMP, certified
Our quality system is certified as conforming to 21 CFR Part 211, the FDA's good manufacturing practice regulations for finished pharmaceuticals.
-
2025
ISO 9001:2015 renewed
Our quality management system is re-certified to ISO 9001:2015, covering the blending, mixing and resale of nicotine and components.

The facility
Everything happens under one roof.
Our building in Thousand Oaks holds a dedicated manufacturing area, an ISO 8 cleanroom for blending and filling, storage for raw materials and finished goods, and the laboratory that tests every batch. Keeping it all in one place is what lets us stand behind every gallon: the drum on your dock was filled here, from a blend made here, released on a test run here.

How we work
Four things we don't compromise on.
-
Made here
Every product we sell is blended, filled and tested in our own building in Thousand Oaks, California. We know exactly where it was made, because we made it.
-
Tested, not assumed
Every batch is assayed in our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory before release: purity, identity, residual solvents, pH and specific gravity. A certificate of analysis follows every lot.
-
Written down
cGMP to 21 CFR Part 211. ISO 9001:2015. Tobacco Product Master Files. An environmental assessment on file with the FDA. Every registration number we hold is published, not paraphrased.
-
Business to business
We supply manufacturers, not consumers. Accounts are verified, documentation may be requested, and nicotine ships by LTL freight because of what it is.
Make something with us.
Whether you need a single gallon or a tote, the specification is the same. Open an account, or ask us anything about the range.
